“Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes.” (Proverbs 19:2, NLT).
2015 has come and we are all excited about it. I bet you must have written your goals, visions and aspirations for the year. I can tell there is zeal burning inside of you to achieve them. The passion is good, the fire in your bones to become bigger is nice. But before you set out, I want to ask you some questions.
1. How do you intend to achieve your goals for 2015? 2. Do you have enough knowledge required to set out and succeed? 3. What strategies have you put in place to achieve your goals? 4. Who are the people you need to achieve your goals? 5. What are the resources required? 6. What mechanisms have you put in place to get all you want?
These questions might be random but they are vital. It is one thing to have great goals, it is another to have adequate knowledge before setting out to achieve them. This is where planning is important. Many have gone half way in the pursuit of their dreams only to give up.
Plan, research, study, develop yourself, read. Do what you must do to match up the enthusiasm you have for this year. Do not hurry into things. Take your time. Proper planing and adequate knowledge before you set out on your dreams, takes you halfway through on the road to success. Great year ahead my friend. #BeInspired.
