“And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest.” (Luke 8:15, NLT).
The dictionary defines patience as the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. Note the word capacity. It means ability, power to do, experience, contain, or understand something. Patience is therefore an ability, patience is power.
God may have told you so many things this year. Those things you may have translated into visions and goals. Two things you must do this year are: 1. Cling to it. Hold on to God’s word no matter what the circumstance may be. Never lose that vision/goal no matter the challenge you face. You must learn to walk by faith and not by sight.
2. Be patient. Patience is a virtue you must imbibe in 2015. It is a staying power. This is what will keep you from losing your testimonies on the delay and suffering. It will keep your faith alive and keep you from giving up on your dreams no matter the seeming “disappointments” you might encounter. You need faith and patience to obtain the promise. (Hebrews 6:12).
Because faith and patience are capacities, it means you can build them. My ability to bear suffering might be different from yours. My capacity to tolerate delay might be different from yours. A lot of people have thrown away their destinies just because they couldn’t wait for the seed they planted to bear fruit. They lost their harvest after so much effort. You will not lose your testimony this year in Jesus name. Great year ahead my friend. #BeInspired.
