“Suddenly, Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me.” And he went away, weeping bitterly.” (Matthew 26:75, NLT).
One of the things I won’t fail to tell you as you journey through 2015 is that you’ll be faced with situations that will require you to make tough choices. Some of them will be good, some bad. Some of your poor choices will result to mistakes and maybe failures.
However, you must know that the mistakes and failures that happen to you are not as important as how you handle them. It could be in your relationships, business, personal life, etc. But the most important thing is how quickly you get back on your feet.
Peter denied Jesus the Son of God three times. This was someone he had lived with, worked with and loved for three years. But at the heat of pressure he denied him. This was enough to break Jesus’ heart. Imagine a wife denying her husband in public. But you know what, he repented immediately and got back to preaching that same Jesus to the world.
Judas took his failure differently. Yes he felt badly about betraying Jesus, and then he quit by hanging himself. He was lost forever. Mistakes and failures might happen to you this year. In themselves they are not evil. They are indicators that advise you to improve on yourself. Successful people know how to stage a great comeback. God will never allow you make a fatal and unrecoverable mistake in Jesus name. Great year ahead my friend. #BeInspired.
