“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” (1 Corinthians 15:10, NKJV).
The revelation of Paul on the subject of grace is something that baffles me. In the verse above he clearly stated that labour and grace have their places in our lives. He said that he laboured (worked) harder than the other apostles. That was why he got greater results than every other apostle.
This means that if you want to have great results in 2015, you must labour more abundantly than others. At the same time Paul recognised that even though labour is important, it is not labour that determined the results he had. He became who he was because of the grace of God upon his life. There is a difference between a state of being (I am: grace) and a state of doing (I did: labour).
You see, God recognises the place of labour in our success but He does not elevate labour above grace. The kingdom of God works in opposite directions to the world’s system. What will determine your success in 2015 is not how hard you work, but how much of the grace of God is at work in your life. You can work grace out in your life. And you can increase in grace as well. Great grace produces great reward.
Grace amplifies labour. Grace takes you places where your labour will make the greatest impact and produce the maximum reward. Work hard as if your life depends on it, but let the consciousness of grace guide you. Walk on the foot of labour, but fly on the wings of grace. There is a lifting up for you in 2015. Do have a graceful year ahead my friend. #BeInspired.
