“Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?” He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do.” (John 6:5-6, NLT).

Jesus was with a crowd of about 5, 000 men besides women and children. He felt a need to feed them. So He asked Philip the question in the verse above. He did this to test Philip because He already knew what to do. Do you know that God still tests us today to see how far we have gone in the way we think?

Typical of a man ruled by the physical, Philip replied, “Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money to feed them!” (John 6:7, NLT). How often do you have needs that you think are impossible to get? Even if it were possible, getting them met would take time you might say.

Truth is you will face such times in 2015. But one thing you must learn to do is never look at your needs and circumstances with your physical eyes. Learn to see things through the eyes of faith. Faith makes small problems and opens your heart to the possibilities available to you.

Like Jesus, when faced with needs/challenges/trials, you must ask God this, “I need to know what to do Lord”. This is because when you know what to do, fear, anxiety and panic will leave you. Then you’ll see how to apply the supernatural by multiplying the five loaves and two fish available to you. You just can’t afford not to live by faith this year. The senses will never give you all the answers you need. Great year ahead my friend.
