“The priests will carry the Ark of the lord, the Lord of all the earth. As soon as their feet touch the water, the flow of water will be cut off upstream, and the river will stand up like a wall.” (Joshua 3:13, NLT).
Joshua was on his way to take over the city of Jericho with the children of Israel. But before him and Jericho was the river Jordan, which he needed to cross with his followers. He had a goal to conquer Jericho, but there was an obstacle before him. He needed to cross the waters.
The beautiful thing about this story is that every instruction Joshua gave to the priests and the children of Israel on what to do about the obstacle before them, came from God. He connected to God who is the answer to all problems. The other profound thing is that they acted on God’s word without doubting knowing God was with them.
It was when the feet of the priests touched the water that it divided. They stepped into their problem believing that God would show up, keeping up His end of the bargain. Miracles happen when we take bold steps of faith. Take that step of faith today. Maybe that’s all you need to see that change happen. No wonder David in Psalm 18:29, KJV said, “For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.”
In order to overcome challenges and reach the goal ahead of you, you must step into those challenges. That’s the way you can activate the power of God to divide your Jordan. Sometimes what you need is a pen and paper to think and walk through the river of that challenge in your mind. I tell you, ideas and wisdom to take care of that situation will flood your mind. Obstacles are shadows. They disappear when you step into them. Happy Valentines day my friend. Remember that only great people can truly love. #BeInspired.
