“But as one of them was cutting a tree, his ax head fell into the river. “Oh, sir!” he cried. “It was a borrowed ax!” “Where did it fall?” the man of God asked. When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. Then the ax head floated to the surface.” (2 Kings 6:5-6, NLT).
The text scripture above was an event that happened between Elisha and the son of one of the prophets under his leadership. He was trying to cut a tree and his borrowed ax head fell into the river. Since it was borrowed he knew he was in trouble. But Elisha, who had mastered the impossible, knew what to do.
He made the heavy iron ax head float back to the surface of the water. He mesmerised the natural law of float and immersion. He applied a higher law in this situation. That was why the iron ax could float. Amazing!
Note that Elisha did not pray, scream or command the ax. He just asked where it fell and then threw a stick there. This means his thought process controlled the event that took place there. Powerful. This is the height of manifesting the supernatural. Where you make things happen by just thinking. At this point you think like God.
This is only possible when you submerge yourself in fellowship with God’s word and His Spirit. God can do more than what you ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). It’s a faith state of mind. A mentality that nothing is impossible. At this point you determine the course of nature. “Kabaya!” I’m screaming here. Seek to configure your mentality by the word of God. Think like God. As you know, when God thinks about a thing, it steps into nature. Lovely Sunday my friend. #BeInspired.
