“For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices.” (James 3:16, AMP).
The atmosphere you create at home, work, church and everywhere you go is very vital to your productivity and the eventual outcome of your life. An atmosphere of jealousy and envy is a breeding ground for all kinds of evil. Like a laboratory culture that provides an enabling environment for bacteria to grow and flourish, that’s how jealousy in the heart of man enhances the growth of all kinds of evil.
When you allow the seed of envy against a friend or colleague creep into your heart, if you nurture that seed and allow it to grow, you will be capable of corruption, anger, wickedness, sorcery, even murder etc. Anything evil can comfortably grow in your life.
You can plant the seed of jealousy in your heart in many ways. 1. Comparing your abilities and achievements with other people’s. 2. A low self image, thinking that someone else is better than you. 3. Lack of contentment with what you have. All of these are catalysts for envy. But the good news is that you can work on all of them.
Never allow yourself be a carrier of an aura of confusion. Jealousy in your heart for someone will definitely affect your relationship with them. You are light, dispel every darkness that tries to lay hold on you and be an agent of peace. Great day my friend. #BeInspired.
