“And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.” (Mark 4:8, KJV).
This is the parable of the sower where seeds were sown on different types of soil. Some on the way side, some on stony ground, others among thorns and the last group sown on a good soil. Today my focus is the category of the good soil.
To be qualified to be a good soil is that you value the Word of God (seed) and you make use of it whenever you receive it. And you ensure that the Word produces a harvest in your life. It was stated that the good soil produced three sets of harvests. Some thirty fold, some sixty and some hundred folds.
It is in the nature of the good soil to accommodate a seed, provide a conducive environment for it to grow and most importantly, provide it with nutrient. Therefore the quality of a soil determines the quality of harvest it would yield. In the same way, the quality of your heart, will determine the quality of harvest you will get from the Word sown into your heart. At this point you are either a thirty, sixty or hundred fold person. Note that your soil here is your heart.
So what’s the quality of your heart? What degree of harvest does the seed of God’s Word produce in your life? The state of your life right now is the expression of how much of a good soil you are. Your harvest is the proof. You can improve the quality and productivity of your heart (soil) by 1. Regular studying/hearing of the Word. 2. Constant meditation on the Word. 3. Daily confession of the Word. 4. Praying the Word. 5. Acting on the Word. These will provide the environment the Word needs to produce great harvest in your life. Strive to be the hundred fold Christian. Great day my friend. #BeInspired.
