“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.” (Psalm 46:1-2, NLT).
Personally one of the things that gives me the greatest strength to face life is the word of God. This is because of the understanding I have about God Himself, the giver of the word. God honours His word more than His name. The full backing of heaven is behind every word that comes out of His mouth. If His word fails, that means God has failed, and that is impossible.
In fact the entire world is sustained by God’s word. The Sun, the moon, the galaxies are where they are because God’s word holds them together. The word of God is God Himself. If you have it you have God. Now that we have a grip on the integrity of God’s word, let’s see what He is saying to us today.
God is our strength and our refuge, He is always ready to help us when we are in trouble. Troubles would always come just as we discussed yesterday. But how you handle it is what is more important. So if God is our strength and refuge, and God is His word, it means that the word of God is equal to strength and refuge. Therefore the safest place to be in this life is in God through His word.
It doesn’t matter what you are going through today. Even if the world around you is turned up side down, even if the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans rage, let the economy fall; when all these troubles come, knowing that God is always ready to help you in times of trouble is enough word to face it. What is important here is that you do not fear. The presence of fear is the absence of faith required to overcome any trouble. The battle is in your mind. Win there! God is with you through that trouble. Stay in faith for faith always wins. #BeInspired.
